藁本 고본 (고본)

Original, read line by line 東醫寶鑑 · 탕액편 권3

1. 性微溫一云微寒, 味辛苦, 無毒.

   성미온일운미한, 미신고, 무독.

   Its nature is slightly warm — some say slightly cool. The taste is pungent and bitter, and it is non-toxic.

2. 治一百六十種惡風, 除風頭痛.

   치일백육십종악풍, 제풍두통.

   It treats a hundred and sixty kinds of malign wind ailments and relieves headaches caused by wind.

3. 辟霧露, 療風邪嚲曳, 療金瘡.

   벽무로, 료풍사타예, 료금창.

   It wards off the noxious vapors of mist and dew, cures the slack, dragging limbs caused by wind evils, and heals wounds from blades.

4. 長肌膚, 悅顔色, 去面皯酒㾴粉刺, 可作沐藥面脂.

   장기부, 열안색, 거면간주사분자, 가작목약면지.

   It nourishes the skin, brightens the complexion, and removes facial blemishes, rosacea-like redness from drink, and acne — so it serves well as a hair wash or facial ointment.

5. 葉似白芷香, 又似芎藭, 但蒿本葉細耳.

   엽사백지향, 우사궁궁, 단고본엽세이.

   Its leaves are fragrant like those of bai-zhi and resemble those of chuanxiong, except that gaoben has finer leaves.

6. 以其根上苗下似藁, 故名藁本.

   이기근상묘하사고, 고명고본.

   Because the part above the root and below the shoot resembles dry straw — gao — it is called gaoben, literally straw-root.

7. 正月二月採根, 暴乾, 三十日成. 《本草》

   정월이월채근, 폭건, 삼십일성. 《본초》

   The root is dug in the first and second lunar months and sun-dried; in thirty days it is ready. (Bencao)

8. 太陽本經藥也.

   태양본경약야.

   This is fundamentally a medicine of the Taiyang channel.

9. 中霧露淸邪必用之.

   중무로청사필용지.

   When one is struck by the clear evil of mist and dew, it must be used.

10. 寒邪入太陽, 頭痛腦痛, 大寒犯腦, 令人腦痛, 齒亦痛.

    한사입태양, 두통뇌통, 대한범뇌, 영인뇌통, 치역통.

    When cold evil penetrates the Taiyang channel, the head and brain ache; when severe cold strikes the brain, it brings cranial pain and even toothache.

11. 其氣雄壯, 治巓頂痛.

    기기웅장, 치전정통.

    Its qi is bold and vigorous, so it treats pain at the very crown of the head.

12. 與木香, 同治霧露之氣, 去蘆用之. 《湯液》

    여목향, 동치무로지기, 거로용지. 《탕액》

    Used together with muxiang, it treats the qi of mist and dew alike; remove the rootlet head before use. (Tangye)

13. 我國慶尙道玄風地有之. 《俗方》

    아국경상도현풍지유지. 《속방》

    In our country, it grows in the land of Hyeonpung in Gyeongsang Province. (Sokbang)
