性微溫, 味苦甘一云辛, 無毒.
성미온, 미고감일운신, 무독.
Its nature is slightly warm, and the taste is bitter and sweet — some say pungent — with no toxicity.

主産前後百病, 産後腹痛, 頻産血氣衰冷, 成勞羸瘦, 及金瘡癰腫.
주산전후백병, 산후복통, 빈산혈기쇠랭, 성로리수, 급금창옹종.
It treats the many disorders surrounding childbirth, postpartum abdominal pain, the weakening and chilling of blood and qi from frequent births that lead to consumptive wasting and emaciation, and is also used for cuts and abscesses.

消撲損瘀血.
소박손어혈.
It disperses stagnant blood from bruises and blunt injuries.

生水澤中, 莖方, 葉似薄荷, 微香.
생수택중, 경방, 엽사박하, 미향.
It grows in marshes and wet places; the stem is square, the leaves resemble mint, and it carries a faint fragrance.
