胭脂 Yeonji (연지)
Yeonji is the red cosmetic pigment dabbed on cheeks and lips. It was chiefly made by drawing the red out of safflower petals and settling it, and it is the rouge a bride dotted on her cheeks and forehead in the old wedding custom. Dongui Bogam gives it a single line in the herbs section.
