敗天公 Oraesseudeon Paeraengi Jae (오래쓰던 패랭이 재)

Paecheongong is a bamboo rain hat that someone has worn for years. The name reads as 'worn-out sky-lord,' the hat being what stands between a head and the sky. The Donguibogam had the bamboo burned to ash and the ash stirred into liquor.

  1. 性平,

    Its nature is neutral, neither warming nor cooling.

  2. 主鬼疰精魅.

    It treats unexplained wasting illnesses and bewitched-like conditions attributed to malevolent influences.

    This refers to a bamboo hat that a person has worn on the head for a long time.

  4. 取竹燒灰酒服.

    Take the bamboo, burn it to ashes, and drink the ashes mixed with wine.
