白薑 Ginger

Baekgang is ginger peeled and dried without fermenting, pale enough to earn the name white ginger. Ginger left in its skin to dry on its own was set apart as geonsaenggang (乾生薑). Herbal markets still stock it under the name geongang (乾薑).

  1. 卽去皮, 未經釀者, 色白.

    This is ginger that has been peeled and not yet fermented, so its color is white.

    HomiclubBaekgang is ginger peeled and dried without fermenting, and its pale color gives it the name 'white ginger'. Ginger left unpeeled to dry on its own appears separately in the next entry as geonsaenggang (乾生薑).

  2. 治肺胃寒邪. 《入門》

    It addresses cold sa (邪, pathogenic qi) in the pye and wi (肺胃, lung and stomach). 《Immun (入門)》
