子 Baechu Ssi (배추 씨)
Napa cabbage seed is the small, round, black seed that forms after the plant sends up a flower stalk in the spring of its second year. Like rapeseed, which belongs to the same mustard family (Brassicaceae), it can be pressed for oil, and the Dongui Bogam notes that oil can be made from this seed. Today, however, napa cabbage seed is generally handled simply as seed to be sown the following year.

可作油, 塗頭長髮, 塗刀劍令不銹. 《本草》
An oil can be pressed from it; rubbed on the head it grows the hair, and rubbed on blades it keeps them from rusting. 《Boncho (本草)》
