落花生 Peanut

Ttangkong is the peanut, a legume annual and the same crop in the guide. Its name nakhwasaeng, fallen-flower-born, describes how the stalk drives into the soil after flowering to set its pod underground. It reached Korea too late to appear in the Dongui Bogam.
